Past bedtime last night, I heard Joy's voice coming from the hallway. "I have some more questions." Asking questions is one of her favorite ways to put off sleep. I replied, "Joy, if you don't get into bed, I won't be able to tuck you in." Then her voice from her bedroom, "HOW DID YOU KNOW I wasn't in bed!?" :)

I replied that I'm a mom, and magic about things like that. She muttered from bed, "Like Santa but without the presents."
