New Website for Bellingham Farmers Market

The Bellingham Farmers Market (BFM), an open-air gathering place where fresh local produce, tasty food, fabulous crafts, and festive atmosphere attract thousands of visitors each year, launches a new website at bellinghamfarmers.org.

The new website was developed to keep customers informed about exciting events and special promotions happening at the Market, offer an easy-to-use online directory of BFM vendors, and provide information about the organization and its mission.

"The site features some fun tools as well, such as up-to-date information provided through BFM’s Twitter feed, KVOS-TV's Deb Slater's 'Experience NW' segments filmed at the Market, and revolving Market photos on the header," said Market Director Caprice Teske. "The homepage also features current Market news and connects visitors to several pages on ways to get involved with the Market, from vending to volunteering to becoming a 'Friend of the Market,' at donation levels ranging from $25 to $1,000."

In addition to the new look and special features, visitors can also sign up on the homepage to receive news via email and browse through the “Meet Our Vendors” pages to find their favorite vendor or a particular product.

Two local companies were instrumental in bringing this website to fruition. Rowan Moore-Seifred of DoubleMRanch Design developed the graphics and design elements, and the team at Mindfly, Inc. created the user-friendly framework that gives BFM staff the flexibility to easily change and add content to meet the needs of customers and vendors and to keep the website fresh and exciting.

Now in its seventeenth year, the Bellingham Farmers Market is consistently one of the most popular tourist attractions in the area. Located at the Depot Market Square on Railroad Avenue, the Saturday Market runs from April through December from 10am-3pm. The Wednesday Market is held in Fairhaven on the Fairhaven Village Green from 12noon-5pm from June through September.
