  Dave Wheeler recently graduated from Western Washington University with a BA in Creative Writing. His poetry has appeared in Western's Jeopardy Magazine and he contributes irregularly to the blog for Village Books, where he works as a bookseller.

  Evelyn Turner is the owner of The Easy Entrée, where you’ll find hassle-free home cooking. She loves to read and boat in the San Juan Islands. Evelyn and her husband Richard also enjoy seeing (and spoiling) their two grandkids, Kyle and Rachel.

•   Ginger Oppenheimer
  

  Ginger Oppenheimer has lived in Bellingham for 25 years and is an avid year-round trail runner. She usually can't wait for winter so she can skate ski with her husband. Ginger works in editing and marketing. Dark chocolate is her key to happiness.

  Jill Burns, a freelance writer and English teacher, is trying her hand at full-time parenting for the first year of her son's life. She enjoys writing poetry, creative non-fiction, and reviews. She enjoys living in Bellingham because of all the outdoor activities, like sea kayaking and hiking.

  Jim Schmotzer has been educating kids, adults, and college students for over 20 years. His hobbies include running, reading, and writing fiction as The Faithful Skeptic. Jim and his wife Connie have two grown sons and four grandkids.

  Joanna Nesbit is a home-based freelance writer. She thinks she can write and parent at the same time. She and her husband, Curt, are developing interests through their two kids, including chess, Girl Scouts, soccer, and horses. In her limited spare time, she enjoys reading, running, and good beer.

•   MaryAnn Kohl
  

  MaryAnn Kohl is an award-winning author of art activity books for kids and founder of Bright Ring Publishing. A former teacher and mother of two grown daughters, MaryAnn also teaches workshops for teachers and parents. She lives in Bellingham with her husband and likes to play outside in her spare time.

  Stephanie Dethlefs is the mom of two children who writes, teaches, and runs the Young Writers Studio in her spare time. Originally from Seattle, she arrived in Bellingham in 1996. A perfect day would include playing outside with her husband and kids and getting lost in a book.

  A Bellingham Online Journalist, Theresa Carpine graduated from WWU with a BA in English Literature. She enjoys yoga, listening to music, riding her bike in downtown Bellingham, and babysitting really cute kids.
